Since major tests are assigned well in advance, and since you have your textbooks and notebooks home with you each and every night for study and review - absence on the day before a test does not excuse you from taking the test on the assigned day. 2. Always be prepared for unannounced quizzes on the previous day's class work. 3. Inevitably, there are always some students who find it convenient to take a day off when a major test is given. This is IRRESPONSIBLE!! However, there are some students who are absent for legitimate reasons. Whatever the cause of your absence -- IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to see me on your first day back in school to make arrangements for a make-up test. Failure to do this will suggest an indifferent attitude. 4. In preparing for tests it is suggested that you study both your class notes and homework assignments. Rereading assigned text material should also be helpful in reinforcing what was previously. learned. If this is done faithfully you should not have much difficulty in this course. 5. Graded test papers and assignments are to be signed and placed at the end of the corresponding chapter in the homework folder. (Applies only to World History students,.) Letter Grade Equivalents
